Welcome to Chateau Des Palmiers, a private family estate located in an exclusive, clandestine zip code of Los Angeles. Designed and built over 8 years, this incredible home showcases the latest trends in custom craftsmanship and interior design.
The 2,000 gallon custom aquarium was fabricated and delivered to the home four years prior to completion. With the expansive dimensions being too large for any doorway, the forethought and planning for this project was critical. The home’s game room provides a heartbeat for entertainment and gathering. With a custom wine cellar and tasting room, billiard table, full bar, home theater, and expansive lounging area, socializing at the Chateau is common. But without fail, the massive custom aquarium provides the ultimate focal point for guests to engage and let their imaginations run wild.

PROJECT BRIEF
Objectives:
• Create a realistic eco system that showcases the region of the Baja Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
• Maintain a cohesive aesthetic with the home’s interior design while producing an aquarium that is not typical, nor often duplicated.
• Design and build a museum-grate piece, that showcases the perfect blend of art and science.

• Custom acrylic bow-front aquarium: 12 ft. long x 4 ft. wide x 5 ft. tall.
• Remote filtration and life support system with subterranean plumbing.
• World-wide remote monitoring system with leak detection, power loss detection.
• Hand-made faux rock background.
• Hand-made faux kelp stalks.
• Multi-functional LED lighting and lunar lighting systems.
